Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a rehabilitation environment or education related to a rehabilitation career path preferred.
Current CPR certification from an AHA-approved course provider
Job Description:
Assists licensed physical and occupational therapist, physical, occupational therapy assistants, and students in all aspects of treatment in order to maximize each patient's functional ability.
JOB DUTIES
Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner
While under direct supervision of the treating therapist, the rehabilitation aide will assist with direct patient care relative to patient's age, culture, and condition
Communicates verbally and in written form with therapists, assistants, students, customers, volunteers and other aides to maintain efficient workflow.
Maintains linen, disinfects equipment, sterilizes equipment, and tracks reusable supplies.
Maintains clean working environment.
Receives, distributes, and restocks supplies.
Performs related duties as required.
Files, answers and makes telephone calls, performs departmental copying.
Senior Rehabilitation Aide
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum three years' experience as a rehabilitation aide.
JOB SUMMARY:
Assists licensed physical and occupational therapist, physical, occupational therapy assistants, and students in all aspects of treatment in order to maximize each patient's functional ability.
JOB DUTIES:
While under direct supervision of the treating therapist, the Senior Rehabilitation Aide will assist with direct patient care relative to patient's age, culture and condition.
Communicates verbally and in written form with therapists, assistants, students, aides, customers and volunteers to maintain efficient workflow.
Assists in orientation of rehab aides, therapists, students and volunteers.
Transfers and transports patients in a safe and timely manner.
Orders linen and supplies.
Tracks reusable supplies.
Disinfects equipment, cleans equipment and monitors temperature logs of hydro collators and cold packs.
Maintains clean working environment.
Orders, receives, distributes and restocks supplies.
Files, answers and makes telephone calls, performs departmental copying.
Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
