Under dual supervision/guidance of the Director of Central Rehabilitation Services and the Program Supervisors. The Rehab Therapy Tech V is responsible for planning/implementing/monitoring activities the "Very Improved Patients"(VIP), Open Square, Monthly Mass Activities.
The position is responsible for making sure program areas have a binder with monthly calendar and session plans for the month. Assist in development of new ideas, implementation of program schedule and completion of required departmental documentation. The position requires food handler's card and meet HHSC standards for driving a state vehicle.
The position is responsible for organizing/maintaining appropriate supplies for Special events. The position requires creativity, energy, and flexibility. RTT V is required to complete documentation for therapeutic sessions using RADPlus and established program procedures in order to provide information on attendance, participation and treatment progress.
Completion of work requires use of established methods/techniques and decisions are based on well-defined guidelines. The position has no financial responsibility but is accountable for assigned property. The position will be scheduled to work 40 hours a week and may be flexible.
This position will provide evening and weekend supervision to the Leisure/Rec programs (Village Square Caf). The position is required to demonstrate appropriate role-modeling behaviors for patients/staff in support of the Recovery Model. The employee has full access to a limited set of records in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Access level Health Care Operations. Essential Job Functions:
Attends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
1.Complete required documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and established program procedures in order to provide information on attendance and treatment outcomes.
2.Under direction of Program Specialist, the Rehab Therapy Tech V will facilitate classes to persons served utilizing modalities which enhance patient's awareness of their psychiatric illness, addiction, in order to increase patient's knowledge/skills by following Session Evaluation and Recovery Model to achieve individualized treatment goals/objectives.
3.Maintains safe/therapeutic environment by evaluating work area to promote safety and identify potential problems. Assures work area is free of hazards; reports injuries/incidents in a timely manner; demonstrates knowledge of/adherence to hospital/department safety plans and procedures.
4.Maintains an inventory of adequate supplies and insures maintenance areas are checked and maintained for their assigned program areas. Will monitor/check in and out various Central Rehab items for patients' needs. Will correct or bring to the attention of the direct supervisor or Director of Central Rehabilitation Services anything that needs repair or service.
5.Creatively plan, facilitate and monitor meaningful Recovery oriented Activities for all leisure programming in Village Square (VIP, Open Square, Mass and Evening/Weekend Activities).
6.Provide on-going leadership/training to impart general and/or specific information so as to ensure meaningful, educational, and recovery based therapeutic programming that fulfills patients' therapeutic goals and that meets Wichita County Health Department rules.
7.Maintains competency through participation in all required hospital and departmental training/meetings (TIPs, Refresher Orientation, CPR, In-Service Training sessions, and morning meetings) to assure up to date skills and knowledge in required areas. Attends annual training as well as any required program specific training in order to assure up to date skills and knowledge in required areas.
8.Rehabilitation Therapy Technician V will provide leadership and manage the department after 5:00 pm which, he/she will make decisions; solve problems; monitor staff productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
9.Rehabilitation Therapy Technician V will monitor all program areas to make sure binders are completed with calendar and session plans for the following month.
Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Knowledge Skills Abilities:
