Summary of Job Duties:

Shift: 7am to 3:30pm

The Rehab Therapy Aide assists licensed therapy staff in the delivery of therapy services by assisting with patient care and performing duties that support the delivery of patient care.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED PLUS One (1) year patient care experience and Two (2) years computer experience

• Once hired, must be fitted for, capable of donning & performing routine tasks in PPE to include N95 mask, PAPR, or CAPR.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience as a Rehab Therapy Aide

Additional Information:

Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying Respirators (PAPR) or Controlled Air Purifying Respirators (CAPR).

Responsibilities:

• Assists licensed therapists with patient care procedures by preparing patient/supplies/equipment, assisting during treatment, and completing post-procedure clean up.

• Assists patients in carrying out exercises that have been written out by Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants.

• Ensures appropriate levels of supplies are present in order to carry out daily therapy operations.

• Checks-in patients as they arrive at the facility.

• Monitors department equipment to ensure proper working order.

• Performs daily/weekly cleaning of clinical areas.

• Answers phones and gathers new patient paperwork.

• Performs other duties as assigned.
