Rehab Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:# Under the supervision of a licensed therapist or therapist#s assistant, performs routine patient care services that do not require professional judgment or skills.# Performs in accordance with standards of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy practice that are ethical and legal in North Carolina. # EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE: Minimum Required: High school graduate or equivalent.# Incumbent must attain BCLS certification within 3 months of hire; recertification required annually.# Working knowledge of rehabilitation equipment and routine treatment procedures gained through substantial prior experience as a Rehabilitation Aide, Rehabilitation Volunteer or Transporter.

##Same # ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:# Incumbent must demonstrate an ability to apply age-appropriate principles of communication and patient care relevant to unique needs of adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.# Incumbent must demonstrate competence in the use of equipment and application of procedures before being allowed to perform independently.
