Title
Rehab Support Assistant (Medical Clerical)- Battle Creek, PRN
The Rehabilitation Support Assistant performs various duties including: answering telephones, greeting patients, scheduling patient appointments completing registration with accurate demographic and insurance/billing information, insurance verification, obtaining insurance authorizations, patient check-in (including verification of patient demographic information), coding and/or managing work queues, handling medical records, tracking receipt of signed treatment plans/progress notes, ordering/stocking supplies, managing linen and department infection control needs.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2-3 years general work experience (hospital preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
6-12 months of related experience
Work which produces very high levels of mental/visual fatigue, e.g. CRT work between 70 and 90 percent of the time, and work involving extremely close tolerances and considerable hand/eye coordination for sustained periods of time.
The job produces some physical demands. Typical of jobs that include regular walking, standing, stooping, bending, sitting, and some lifting of light weight objects.
