TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Rehab RN in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, 53226 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (Staff RN) Job Specialty: Spinal/General Rehabilitation Job Duration: 13-week Contract Shift: Night Shift, 36 hours per week, every third weekend on a three-week rotating schedule Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: License: Registered Nurse License (State-specific or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the Nurse Licensure Compact) Certifications: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire. Must-Have: Job Description:

  • Deliver nursing care to an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment.

  • Demonstrate competency in delivering care to a primarily adult population.

  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health and/or situation.

  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.

  • Identify expected outcomes for a plan individualized to the patient or situation.

  • Develop a plan prescribing strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.

  • Implement the identified plan and evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes.

  • Attain knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice.

  • Participate in ongoing educational activities related to appropriate knowledge bases and professional issues.

  • Demonstrate a commitment to lifelong learning through self-reflection and inquiry.

  • Identify learning needs based on nursing knowledge and changing needs of the population.

  • Participate in formal or informal consultations to address nursing practice issues.

  • Share educational findings, experiences, and ideas with peers.

  • Contribute to a work environment conducive to the education of healthcare professionals. Skills and Duties Continued:

  • Communicate effectively in all areas of practice.

  • Assess personal communication skills in encounters with patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Seek continuous improvement in communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Convey information in formats promoting accuracy.

  • Question the rationale supporting care processes and decisions when they do not appear to be in the patient's best interest.

  • Disclose observations or concerns related to hazards and errors in care or practice environment to the appropriate level.

  • Maintain communication with other providers to minimize risks associated with transfers and transitions in care delivery.
