REHABILITATION NURSE TECHNICIAN

As a rehabilitation nurse technician, channel the full extent of your knowledge, skills, ambition and experience on a daily basis. Inspire our patients to progress each day as you:

  • Assist an RN or LPN in completing patient-care support tasks.

Credentials:

  • Current CPR certification required.

  • One or more years of experience within an inpatient general hospital setting preferred but not required.

  • Experience with medically complex patients and sub-acute rehab unit patients preferred.

  • State-issued C.N.A. or L.N.A. (or similar) license preferred.

Job Duties: Demonstrates a professional focus on customer relations by greeting, directing and assisting patients, families and team members. Treats all individuals with respect, courtesy and empathy. Answers the telephone using personable etiquette. Answers inquiries by providing accurate information or forwarding calls to appropriate resource. Promptly responds to unified communication system and email. Identifies emergency messages, facilitates information to the appropriate personnel. Maintains confidentiality. Types memorandums, policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, forms, procedures, Power Point presentations and other general typing as directed, initiating other documents and correspondence as appropriate. Schedules, coordinates and/or arranges meetings, appointments and/or facilities. Attends meetings and records minutes, as required. Establishes and maintains files and records on an ongoing basis. Handles multiple priorities simultaneously with ease and proficiency. Reports actual and/or potential problems concerning patients, families and staff to the respective department manager. Order and stock supplies as requested/needed for the department. Distributes mail/correspondence to staff.
