  • Develop census as defined by targeted goals of the business plan.

  • Build referral relationships within an assigned geographic territory, emphasizing face-to-face contact.

  • Assist with coordination of the referral-to-admission process.

  • Represent our company in community-related activities.

  • Use territory market analysis data to identify potential new business opportunities.

  • Recognize barriers to admission, respond appropriately and follow up on admissions variables.

  • Provide in-services and professional presentations for referral sources, community groups and others regarding our services, programs, and outcomes.


  • An extensive understanding of healthcare operations, legal guidelines, competitive analysis and marketplace trends.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

  • Two or more years of experience as a clinician or tech within a healthcare environment preferred.

  • One or more years of experience as a nurse liaison or successful sales experience within a healthcare setting preferred.

  • Current state professional licensure essential.

  • Current CPR certification preferred.

  • CRRN preferred.

  • Current driver's license in state of employment and acceptable driving record required.

The Registered Nurse-Cardiac Rehab performs specific patient assessments, cardiovascular and pulmonary monitoring, patient care management and procedures for patients referred to and enrolled in Cardiac, Cardiopulmonary or Pulmonary Rehabilitation. Utilizes discretion and independent judgment in the development of and application of age-specific and developmentally appropriate quality patient care treatment plans and therapies. Participates in educational activities, departmental committees, approved research projects and other health-related projects as assigned. Provides direction and guidance in the proper use, care and control of material resources; appraises quality and effectiveness of material and equipment and communicates to responsible individuals. Applies theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expands cardiovascular knowledge base and clinical skills. Utilizes interpersonal skills to maximize excellence in customer service, safe patient care, and professionalism. Contributes to a work environment of caring and cooperation among a culturally diverse workforce and patient population. Performs other duties as needed. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Associate's Degree in Nursing required. Minimum two years Cardiac Rehab or Cardiovascular nursing experience required. Minimum one year experience in cardiac or chronic disease patients including dynamic telemetry monitoring preferred. Able to assemble and troubleshooting of patient care equipment, physical assessment (patient examination); preventative maintenance, calibration and operation of patient care equipment. Computer data entry and operation to keep patient records. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English (and Spanish preferred) with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position (i.e. Microsoft Windows, Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, internet, timekeeping, e-mail); troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment (i.e. Intravenous (IV) pumps, Electrocardiogram (ECG) monitors, vital sign machines, bed and gurney operation, and the like). Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; be assertive and consistent in following and enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; lead, supervise, teach, and collaborate; accept direction. Works well with others, contact with public. Works well with representative of medical equipment companies, works alone with others; communicates well with physicians and representatives of health care organization. Ability to perform algebraic calculations, ability to interpret data, critical thinking, ability to spell, read and comprehend, understand computer equipment and departmental and hospital information systems, and verbally communicate accurately and clearly. Able to distinguish colors and smells as necessary for patient care; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone; identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the work place and patient care; see adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and written documents necessary to position; discern temperature variances through touch. Active California Registered Nursing (RN) License required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life (ACLS) Support certifications from the American Heart Association required.
