POSITION SUMMARY (includes, but is not limited to):
The Certified Nursing Assistantfunctions under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs delegatedfunctions as defined in the State of Nevada Nurse Practice Act.
Provides safe, effective nursing careto patients in compliance with the Standards of Care and Standards of Practiceand based on the Nursing Process. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriateto patients served.
Demonstratesknowledge of principles of growth and development over life span and possessesability to assess data reflective of patient status and interpret appropriateinformation needed to identify patient requirements relative to his/her agespecific needs. Provides care needed asdescribed in department policies and procedures. Completes a competency skills checklistwithin 3 months of employment.

Graduate from high school or equivalent program; a high level of mathand reasoning is required.
Current Basic Life Support.
Current CNA certification in the state of Nevada.
Patient care experience as appropriate to area of practice which mayinclude infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.
