Job Profile

  • Partners with regulatory risk manager to execute regulatory risk initiatives including setting up, building and monitoring initiatives. Challenges internal service partners and lines of business to ensure appropriate execution within and across business and risk areas.

  • Ensures appropriate documentation is completed. Includes review of reporting by risk area on compliance validation, control framework and risk profiles, escalating issues to management when necessary.

  • Identifies potential audit issues and MRAs to ensure timely and appropriate execution by business and risk areas. Communicates those potential issues and the execution plan to the lines of business.

  • Participates in regulatory and audit meetings as appropriate. May include participating in business staff meetings as appropriate to provide an update of status/progress.

  • Interacts with lines of business, and/or external and internal partners, in their role of monitoring the execution of regulations. Participates in business staff meetings to provide an update of status/progress.

Under the direction of the Quality Director, this role serves as a subject matter expert within the Company regarding state and federal regulations and works with individual departments to research, identify and address areas of vulnerability related to regulatory compliance. This includes tracking, reviewing and analyzing policies, regulations and compliance requirements that could impact pharmacy licensure. Responsibilities * Tracking, reviewing and analyzing policies, regulations and compliance requirements. * Read, interpret, summarize, Federal and State regulations and policies * Provide compliance training and oversight * Investigate potential issues of regulatory and or privacy (HIPAA) non-compliance and coordinate provision of root cause analysis and impact reports for internal departments as well as downstream entities * Complete monitoring events to determine the level of compliance to newly instituted regulatory procedures and or corrective action plans * Perform internal audits and self-inspections * Document and maintain project plans and status reports as related to mock inspections, audits, and other ad hoc initiatives as needed * Acts as the regulatory lead on new and continuing customer pharmacy transition activities Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree or a minimum 2 years of professional work experience at a pharmacy, health plan, pharmacy benefit manager, or state/federal agency * Minimum 1 year of professional work experience in a regulatory compliance, privacy, or investigation setting, preferably in a health care setting * Must possess strong research and analytical skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated competency in investigating potential errors and evaluating root-cause analyses * Possesses ability to analyze and interpret policy and regulations * Ability to deliver information accurately in a fast-paced environment with insight and perspective * Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Internet hh0806 Grane Pittsburgh PA
