We're looking for a sharp analytical thinker with a general background in Audit to join the Deloitte Global Regulatory Reporting Group. The Regulatory Reporting group works closely with the member firms of the Deloitte Network across the globe to facilitate their submission of cross-border regulatory reports to foreign audit oversight bodies.

Work you'll do:

  • Perform quality control reviews of cross-border regulatory reports prepared by Member Firms, including PCAOB Forms AP and Forms 2, and work directly with engagement teams and Member Firms to answer questions and assist in consultations that arise during the group's quality control review process

  • Assist in the development and distribution of standardized best practices for Member Firm process owners, including process workflow documents, timelines and checklists

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of practice aids, Q&As and forms/tools for use for "engagement level" regulatory filings with transnational audit regulators (e.g., Form AP)

  • Assist in the global regulatory reporting group's discussions with member firms regarding their PCAOB "substantial role" consultations

  • Assist with the development of communications and presentations on specific global regulatory reporting topics, including technical updates for Member Firms

  • Contribute to the development of communications, presentations, and materials for internal leadership updates and briefings

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience; client service audit experience is strongly preferred

  • Must have a general background in audit; an understanding of the mechanics of providing external audits

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to quickly understand issues and requirements

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Proven experience with managing and completing multiple concurrent tasks

  • Sound judgment and relationship management skills

  • Ability to communicate with confidence and poise across all levels

  • Ability to work effectively with teams in a virtual environment

  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word)


  • General knowledge of financial reporting requirements of the SEC is strongly preferred

Required qualifications to be successful in this role: * Exceptional consulting skills, comfortable with senior stakeholder engagement and effective in influencing and building productive relationships with executive level management, clients, senior management, industry providers, vendors and stakeholders * A strong commercial understanding to facilitate client discussions (e.g. business value etc.) * Familiarity with BI architecture concepts and tools, including data architecture, data modeling, ETL tools (Pentaho, Talend, Informatica, etc.), and reporting platforms. * Experience with data and reports migration * Experience managing front-end BI tools and building reports and dashboards * Strong knowledge of BI platforms (e.g. Business Objects, Tableau, Qlik, D3, etc.) and demonstrated ability to implement business intelligence * Experienced in managing large data sets of multiple sources including managing the design, development and implementation of an information system. * The skills to assess, manage, and optimize the design and delivery of data warehousing * Strong conceptual knowledge of data warehousing, BI systems and processes, and ETL (extract, transform, load). * Certification in related data technologies or tools is desirable. * Five (5) years of relevant experience. * Excellent oral and written communication capabilities and techniques (working side-by-side with government counterparts).
