The Financial Reporting Analyst will be part of the Financial Risk Shared Services (FRSS) U.S. Regulatory Reporting Department. The main objective of this position is the preparation of internal and external U.S. Regulatory Reports and management of the System Operations and End-User-Computing products for Citigroup.

This position will require preparation and analysis of data for the quarterly CER and FSB filing as well as preparation of responses to Federal Reserve questions. This position requires a high degree of discretion and authority in order to ensure that the compilation, analysis, and reporting of Citi's Country Exposure Reports to the Federal Reserve are conducted in accordance with regulatory and internal standards.

Specific job responsibilities include:

  • FFIEC 009/9A (Country Exposure Report/CER) and FR2510

  • FSB Institution to Aggregate Reporting

  • Ad Hoc Reports.

Additionally, the incumbent will be key driver of the Finance transformation initiatives, including, GENESIS and US RRI implementation for Regulatory Reporting requirements. This role also requires expertise and in-depth knowledge of Citi's products such as derivatives within the finance and risk areas and its proprietary reporting systems as well as a comprehensive knowledge of regulatory reporting.

The function has responsibility for ensuring all related processes meet current compliance and regulatory standards, supported by documentation standards, and with effective preventive and detective controls. The position will liaise closely with the Corporate Reporting, Finance and Risk Infrastructure (FRI), Technology, and Finance stakeholders.

The selected candidate will be accountable for production and analytics and responsible for enhancing the governance framework to achieve greater standardization, consistency, and sustainability.

Description/Duties:

  • Prepare and review of regulatory schedules

  • Responsible for the interaction with global financial reporters ensuring business data, variances analyzes and submissions are on time

  • Though various review methods ensure accuracy and liaise with the Regulators on behalf of Citigroup, Inc

  • Prioritize material issues and directing operations units to investigate and resolve root causes while facilitating the appropriate escalation process and ensuring that corrective action.

  • Maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures, ensuring key controls are in place and both standardize and optimize processes globally.

  • Represent the organization with external parties including auditors and regulators.

  • Work across multiple functions (Corporate Reporting, FRI, Finance, Risk, Operations Technology)

  • Participate on committees and working groups with Finance, FRI, Regulators, Risk Architecture, Corporate Reporting and CSS FRSS.

  • Produce metrics for Senior Management highlighting key issues and remediation status, maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures.

  • Perform key controls, review and facilitate MCA testing, and identify and implement opportunities for process optimization.

  • Maintain standard operating procedures, BlueWorks, and Record Management.

  • Effective communication: presentations to Senior Management, issue resolution with Technology

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in experience

  • 2+ years of related work experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills required

  • Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand CCAR/Basel processes, including system data flows

  • Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources

  • Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment

  • Willingness to work flexible hours or on an Alternative Work Space (AWS) environment

  • Ability to multi-task, be proactive and goal-oriented

  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management

Preferred but not required:

  • Masters in Accounting, Finance or Economics; Certified Public Accountant or International Equivalent; Certified Financial Analyst

  • Previous management experience

  • Previous experience with Lean Methodology / Six Sigma

  • Previous experience with SQL and/or SAS preferred

  • Working knowledge of CitiRisk and other data warehouses
