Corporate and Regulatory Paralegal

We are seeking a corporate and regulatory paralegal with 3 -- 6 years of transaction and regulatory experience. Responsibilities include a wide range of projects including UCC financing statements, UCC searches, licensing, state and federal documentation and regulatory monitoring.

Essential Functions:

  • 3-6 years of corporate and regulatory paralegal experience

  • Experience with all matter of corporate documents

  • Forming corporate entities, ordering and reviewing UCC searches and other transactional due diligence

  • Prepare and file state regulatory and government agency-required documents and reports, including licensing applications and related filings for motor vehicle dealer operations

  • Conduct and document consistent and continuous follow-up with regulatory/government agencies on licensing and regulatory matters

  • Monitors status of submitted licenses to ensure licenses are timely received and processed

  • Track and record all work activity

  • Provide consistent and continuous feedback on status of licensing and regulatory matters to supervisors and operations team

  • Promote positive relations and communications with coworkers, state/government agencies, and operations team


  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal training or certification

  • Experience with filing licensing applications with various State and local agencies a plus

  • Self-starter

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Ability to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing

  • Strong organizational and follow-up abilities

  • Detail oriented

  • PC experience (preferred - in Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge a plus)

  • Excellent phone skills

Experience 10 years of experience with multi-discipline engineering experience including growing responsibilities, lobbying, regulatory bodies, etc. Proven experience with leading operations responsible for compliance of electrical, electronic, and wireless (Wireless Local Area Network – WLAN and Wireless Wide Area Network – WWAN) devices, including, but not limited to product safety, radio frequency (rf), accessibility regulations/standards and carrier/network requirements Track record of successfully managing a compliance operation across various product development models – internal (original equipment manufacturer – OEM) and partner (e.g. joint development model - JDM and outside development model - ODM). Experience with managing compliance related issues at the intersection of Hardware, Software and Services development. This includes integration of innovation and new technology in each discipline. Experience with managing and running internal compliance labs. Lobbying 10+ years experience and exposure to lobbying and negotiating with Regulatory standards and approval agency bodies, worldwide, to the benefit of the business needs. Regulatory agencies experience Demonstrate regular and consistent working relationships to the benefit of the business over the last ten years, as the lead, with: * FCC back-office (not Front office) * EU country Administrations (not EU Commission) * Industry Canada back-office (not Front office) * China, with MIIT Contacts Demonstrate regular contact and negotiations with key decision makers in the agencies above.
