Regulatory Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Specialist to join our Product Safety and Compliance Department. This is a highly cross-functional position with regular communications with and influence on the Supply Chain, Commercial, Legal, Finance, Operations and Research organizations. This position is accountable for product compliance assessments and notifications of all Lubrizol commercial raw materials, intermediates and products to ensure product compliance and support Lubrizol business plans. This position involves application of chemistry knowledge to the requirements of evolving chemical control laws or product application regulations. It requires effective collaboration across the organization to provide maximum business value.
What you will do:
Conduct chemistry composition determinations and product regulatory compliance assessments of new raw materials, manufactured intermediates and products in the corporate SDS and compliance management systems
Submit chemical notifications to global regulatory authorities.
Oversee and track the submission of Lubrizols global chemical notifications
Communicate the status of regulatory submissions to internal stakeholders
Coordinate the generation of data required to submit global chemical notifications across multiple internal organizations
Obtain market specific regulatory approvals such as FDA food contact approval or EPA inert pesticide ingredient approval
Contribute directly to system enhancement and development projects to maintain compliance with ever changing regulatory requirements
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering or EHS directly related field from an accredited college or university
Base knowledgeof regulatory compliance
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a team environment
Ability to handle multiple tasks and appropriately manage priorities
Detail oriented, strong organizational skills, and results driven
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Considered a plus
Advanced degree in Chemistry or related field
Knowledge and experience in global chemical control laws
Experience using diverse software applications
