The Regulatory Compliance Data Specialist will support the business in the review and management of governance data as it affects product distribution within approved countries, reviewing all regulations, legislative compliance, and safety standards. The position will support US product distribution, ensuring mitigation of risk and compliance with laws and regulations.

Successful candidates will be responsible to:

  • Be familiar with applicable government regulations and assure that products, their transport and storage, meet US Regulatory Standards including, but not limited to:

o TSCA(Toxic Substance Control Act); SARA(State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement)

o Clean Air Act; US California Proposition 65

o Federal& State level specific legislation; Domestic & Internal Transportation Regulations

o FDA,USDA, and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)

  • Validate product data (item set-up) from Business Units via internal or external systems, ensuring appropriate classification, standardization, and correct entry into database tools (Syndigo, Salesforce, and JD Edwards).

  • Identify and correct data errors at all points of data consolidation, entry, and publication.

  • Perform analysis on key product compliance parameters (SDS, TDS, Certificates) to ensure risk mitigation, and be able to generate and upload CoA's, CoC's.

  • Govern new product definition and change management processes with collaborative workflows.

  • Act as a database administrator and provide training and support for other users of this tool.

  • Review information on product Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure compliance to all legislative requirements with solid knowledge about (GHS) Global Harmonization System for the classification and labeling of products.

  • Assess and apply information on Safety Data Sheets including modification and creation to identify safe storage requirements,

  • Support in new item sourcing, providing regulatory, technical, and quality and regulatory feedback to ensure regulations can be met.

  • Support qualification of new manufacturing suppliers (Principals) or service providers (3PL

warehouses)as it affects regulatory risk.

  • Support the Quality initiatives as required to maintain all standards including but not limited to: ISO9001:2015, ACD, FSVP, GMP, etc.

  • Other projects as assigned.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of the chemical regulatory field (GHS, transportation regulations, storage)

  • Overall computer literacy with good understanding of IT systems (MS Office, ERP systems)

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards / Syndigo or similar tools is considered a big plus.

  • Ability to work independently - see what needs to be done and do it without prompting.

  • Able to apply process thinking and to create clarity from datamining.

  • Able to execute and deliver high quality with strong attention to detail.

  • Fluent in English, additional language(s) considered a positive.

  • To be mentally flexible and able to switch priorities when required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School education required
  • 3-5years in data analysis and/or regulatory industry experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor's degree.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position currently has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job currently operates on a hybrids schedule rotating between in-office and remote work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are within the window of Monday through

Friday from 8a.m. to5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours maybe required as needed.

Travel:

Minimal travel is required.
