Mammoth Distribution is the fastest growing legal cannabis company in California. The company was founded in 2014 and specializes in cannabis manufacturing, distribution and sales.

The successful candidate will be organized, detail oriented, motivated to learn, responsible.

LOCATION: Work out of Woodland Hills but able to travel to sites for audits and events.

Cannabis industry experience is not required but candidate must be eager in learning about newly legalized cannabis industry. (Additional responsibilities DOE legal experience).


  • Project manage company's state and local licenses and permits application process

  • Project manage company's standard operating procedures and ensure implementation

  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate 3rd party audits

  • Manage company's usage of compliance software

  • Oversee & track customer complaint corrective action follow-through

  • Regulatory record keeping (BCC, CDPH, Local) including business records, marketing and advertising, testing, inventory and transportation

  • Local licensing requirements (hiring plans, public benefit tracking, etc.)

  • Staff compliance training

  • Product archive

Legal Admin

  • Manage document retention (as requested by outside lawyers)

  • Support outside lawyers

  • Day to day legal activities such as:

  • Issuance of basic contracts (NDAs, marketing agreements, etc.)

  • Document tracking / requests

  • Maintaining licensing logs / records / calendaring (incl. cannabis taxes)

VIEW JOBS 11/8/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-06T00:00 Responsibilities: * Position reports to the Senior Medicare Compliance Manager. * Demonstrates strong understanding of CMS requirements and regulations related to Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D operations and compliance; has extensive familiarity with relevant resources and is available to provide technical assistance and guidance to business units within BSC. * Working independently, conducts audits of departments involved in the delivery or administration of BSC's Medicare Advantage and Medicare Part D plans for compliance with CMS and BSC standards, including detecting, preventing, and correcting Fraud, waste, and abuse. * Assists management in developing compliance audit instruments and protocols. Revises Medicare Compliance departmental policies and procedures to comply with regulatory changes. * Prepares analyses/reports based on audit results, including recommendations for corrective action. Maintains records of audits and follow-up of corrective actions. * Under management's guidance, communicates with regulatory agencies to clarify requirements, address reporting and filing issues. * Participates in disseminating CMS communications and in maintaining Compliance Monitoring Calendar. * Assists with implementation of Medicare Compliance Committee materials to validate accuracy and completeness of data reporting, track performance, validate follow through on action items. * Monitors that policies and procedures of operating areas relative to the Medicare program are regularly updated and reflect actual operations. * Maintains awareness of industry trends and legislative impact on policies, products and services. Requirements & Education: * Bachelor's degree and three years relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Medicare Compliance experience is a must, PBM, and/or pharmacy audit experience preferred. * Project management experience and handling multiple high priority projects with competing deadlines * Ability to effectively present highly complex information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. * Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations and ensures departmental compliance.
