The Vertafore Regulatory Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring that Sircon's e-PAL product is kept current by researching, analyzing and documenting the latest state regulations and laws. This documentation helps ensure customers maintain compliance with state insurance regulations.
A successful analyst will learn the product and how to maintain it. The analyst will develop sources of information and learn how to incorporate the information gathered into the product. These individuals work closely with internal teams such as Customer Support, Account Management, Marketing, and Product Management and externally with customers and business partners.
CORE REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Conducting research and analyzing impact of regulatory changes across all products and services
Maintaining accuracy of e-PAL content based on regulatory changes, research, and customer requests where applicable
Producing and maintaining the accuracy of QuickGuides (insurance licensing and continuing education topics)
Producing e-PAL Bulletin Board and Vertafore News publications for industry customers
Producing and maintaining the accuracy of the SILA Digest publication (insurance producer and adjuster content)
Providing introductory information and conducting ongoing training to e-PAL internal and external users
Attending conferences, webinars, and meetings in order to represent Sircon and the e-PAL product
Creating and coordinating internal and external communication of regulatory changes
Responding to internal and external customer inquiries and concerns
Coordinating and facilitating cross-functional activities with internal and external stakeholders.
Building and maintaining relationships with state insurance department contacts and trade and industry associations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Conduct research, analyze and interpret impact of complex regulatory changes within the insurance industry
Create and coordinate internal and external communication of regulatory changes
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries and concerns
Conduct user training for new and existing e-PAL customers as requested
Coordinate and facilitate cross-functional activities with internal and external stakeholders
Communicate well both orally and in writing
Network with other professionals
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Detail oriented and able to understand and interpret complex industry requirements and regulatory concepts within the insurance and financial industries
Advanced interpersonal communication skills including the ability to express laws and rules accurately and clearly in writing
Able to work well in teams and independently
Excellent planning and time management skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Able to organize and work multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of insurance or securities industry, particularly licensing and compliance and experience using StateScape a plus
Additional Requirements and Details:
Travel required up to 10% of the time.
Located and working from an office location.
Ability to work remote with a stable internet connection on an as needed basis
Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
Frequent sitting and/or standing.
