Job Overview:
The Regulatory Manager will be instrumental in helping to ensure the company successfully meets all compliance requirements while achieving critical deadlines for key regulatory demands. This includes the management and preparation of various critical regulatory documents such as: product Safety Data Sheets, product labels, product attestation documents and certifications. This role will handle multiple types of documentation requests from internal and external customers as well as conduct research regarding various critical documents, certifications, and permits for the company.
Hybrid schedule - requires three days onsite per week.
Job Responsibilities:
Track, monitor and communicate all current, proposed, and new regulations that may impact the company.
Organize and participate in periodic regulatory strategy meetings with business units.
Manage complex process of registering new products as well as renewing and maintain current product registrations.
Manage and prepare dossiers with relevant domestic and international governing bodies to assure the registration package meets requirements to obtain product registrations / licenses.
Manage and create product labels in compliance with CFR 21, AAFCO and relevant Federal and local agencies.
Manage certifications and audit support for Organic, Kosher, HALAL, and other relevant Certification Bodies.
Manage and process customer attestation requests, such as but not limited to: Certificate of Origin, Food Grade, Specification Sheet, Nutritional, Allergen, GMO/Non-GMO, CoO, CoA, SDS, Shelf-Life Ext, etc.
Manage regulatory analysis program by organizing, performing and recording quarterly and annual testing
Assist in creation of SOP / Process and manage updates
Manage and update product SDS and labels
Complete and manage customer questionnaires
Processes customers Regulatory inquiries and responds to customer requests in a timely manner.
Continuously improve document systems to allow faster and more accurate responses
Reviews and updates technical data.
Other duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities:
Invoices, Requisitions, Currency Exchange (Fee processing for state/international renewals), State Fee renewal fees, State registration fees, Feed License fees, State tonnage report fees, international product renewal fees
Administration of regulatory/government documentation related to USMCA certificates, tariff codes, apostilles and certificates of authority, state registrations, state product renewals, feed license renewals, and tonnage reports.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of 3 years in regulatory management with experience in science, technical and/or quality management, or similar function, required.
Ability to judge the applicability of technical information to company specific products and raw materials.
Demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage complicated work tasks of a diverse nature and with strict deadlines.
Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with a variety of internal and external contacts.
Proficient navigating 21 CFR, FTC, EU Regulations (EFSA and ECHA), Prop 65 Listing, and EPA Pesticides Inerts List
Knowledge of WERCS, Repositrak, Tracegains, Smarter Sorting systems and JD Edwards is helpful
Demonstrate problem solving skills and ability to provide innovative solutions.
Required Knowledge: Regulatory, Scientific/Technical, QA, Business acumen.
