Overview

Acuity is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to ensure Acuity remains compliant with all laws, regulations, and court decisions surrounding Property and Casualty insurance which affect the company.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Make necessary updates to policy forms, manuals and related materials in response to changes in legal requirements applying to Acuity products.

  • Modify Acuity products in accordance with program changes made by form/rating bureaus and other departments at Acuity.

  • Analyze statutory, regulatory and judicial requirements in order to make recommendations involving products and procedures.

  • Work with personnel in other departments to assure that projects are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Collaborate with Product Analysts to draft coverage forms for new products and coverages.

  • Collaborate with Product Analysts to develop rates and rules for new programs and/or product options.

  • Assist Marketing Assistants in making and submitting form/rate and rule filings with insurance departments.

  • Verify output of statistical reporting programs and submit reports to statistical agents on a timely basis.

  • Perform quality audits on data in statistical records and on statistical reports.

  • Regular and predictable attendance.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

A four-year degree from an accredited college or university, demonstrating high academic achievements with a grade point average at or above 3.0.

EXPERIENCE:

Analytical experience in the Property/Casualty insurance industry or equivalent, with an interest in research and compliance is preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effectively work with people from varied disciplines and settings, yet comfortable working independently.

  • Strong capabilities in research, critical thinking, and analysis.

  • Detail-oriented and focused on problem-solving.

  • Good organizational and mathematical skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

  • Aptitude for working with complex documents.

  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of computer software including word processing, spreadsheet and database software.

Customer Insights Sr. Analyst Sheboygan Falls, WI Position Overview: A Sr. Analyst on our Customer Insights team helps us sell sausage by working closely with sales, marketing and our retail customers, providing data insights and analysis, information support and training. This position focuses on: * Customer engagement with our strategic retail partners * Sausage category leadership and development * Sausage selling capability and tool development * Using syndicated and loyalty card data to provide insights that lead to sausage growth Responsibilities: * Work directly with our sales and marketing teams and strategic retail partners to: * Develop customer specific analyses that explain trends, identify distribution opportunities, develop promotion recommendations, etc. * Provide syndicated POS, panel, and customer card data to drive Johnsonville and category growth * Create and analyze marketing and sales reports using a variety of reporting tools and data sources * Leverage Johnsonville pricing and assortment tools to accurately forecast volume and share based on price, promotion or assortment changes * Assist in custom analytic projects like marketing mix, price elasticity and others * Build strong collaborative partnerships with cross-functional team members and research partners like IRI, Numerator, 84.51, dunnhumby, and others Education: * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Accounting, Finance or a related field required Experience: * Strong analytical skills with a minimum of three (3) years' experience working successfully with numerical data and information required * Syndicated POS data tool experience (i.e. IRI Unify, Nielsen Nitro/Answers) strongly desired * Customer POS and loyalty card data experience preferred (i.e. dunnhumby, 84.51, EYC) * Familiarity with assortment, pricing and marketing mix analyses strongly preferred * Basic project management experience desired * Experience in the CPG industry a plus Skills: * Excellent computer skills (Excel and PowerPoint required; Access preferred) * Excellent communication, organization and presentation skills (written and oral) * Ability to tell a story with data * Genuine curiosity and desire to ask "what's next?" * Ability to contribute to strong team environment with positive and constructive input and desire to improve the SI&A team and function * Strong desire to learn new skills quickly in a project-oriented environment, with the ability to juggle many projects at one time Date: May 27, 2020 Location: Global Sausage Headquarters, Sheboygan Falls, WI (Our office is about an hour north of Milwaukee) Coach: Customer Insights Sr. Manager (We don't have bosses at Johnsonville.
