Regulated Pharmacy Technician

Cambrian Pharmacy is a home-grown, independent pharmacy situated in North West Calgary. Since 1959, we have been supporting local neighbours by bringing a unique approach to health, combining traditional medicine with complementary therapies. Our customized services cater to specific needs of individual patients, and we are currently seeking a Full-time Regulated Pharmacy Technicianto join our family-oriented team.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

As an integral member of the Cambrian team, you will be responsible for assisting the pharmacists in accurately filling and dispensing prescriptions, answering incoming calls, as well as other dispensary related tasks. With the common goal being to optimize our patients’ health care. You will use your personality to provide outstanding patient care while at the same time contributing to a team work atmosphere within an independent community pharmacy.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Pharmacy Technician diploma
• Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP) is required
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Office applications is required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Ability to distinguish between routine technician functions and those requiring professional judgment
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Promotes, demonstrates and encourages excellent customer relations and consistently shows courtesy, caring, understanding, compassion and respect to residents, families, visitors, medical staff, co-workers and volunteers
• Follows policies, procedures and regulations; must know the drug laws and the limits of the responsibilities that may be assumed by the Pharmacy Technician
