Job Summary: Responsible for greeting patients and families upon arrival and for all aspects of registration including entry and verification of patient demographic and insurance information.

Schedules patient appointments (non-Emergency Department). Contacts insurance companies to verify medical coverage and pre-certification/referral requirements, if applicable. Educates patients and families regarding financial responsibilities and collects co-pays and/or visit charges. Responsible for all training and awareness of procedural changes and must demonstrate teamwork, flexibility in assignments and serve as a resource for colleagues.

Minimum Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent. Computer literate.

One to two years# experience in a customer service role, hospital setting or a physician registration and insurance verification position. Proficient keyboarding skills required. Must be able to speak, read and write English.

Excellent communication skills, i.e., telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills, and exhibit exemplary customer service principles. Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality. Must be self-directed and able to prioritize duties.

Must be able to travel between locations and have the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:
Associates Degree preferred.

VIEW JOBS 10/3/2019 12:00:00 AM 2020-01-01T00:00 Merakey is looking for a Full-time Therapeutic Family Care Program Specialist to join our Pottsville, PA Team POSITION REQUIREMENTS * Must possess a Masters' degree in a mental health field such as psychology, counseling or social work and training in a generally recognized clinical discipline are required. * This individual will possess at least one (1) year of experience providing clinical services and/therapy. * Must possess a Valid Driver's license and use of personal automobile. POSITION OVERVIEW * The Program Specialist will provide weekly individual therapy to children on their caseload. * They will meet regularly with the TFC parents to develop strategies for meeting the youth's needs in the home. * Supervise interventions provided by the TFC parents and assist the Program Coordinator in oversight of the treatment provided in the host home. * Provide family therapy to the biological family. * The person in the position is responsible for designing and directing the implementation of a comprehensive plan that provides goals and strategies for ensuring the execution of all placement activities for the designated caseload of up to 12 children placed in the Therapeutic Family Care Program. * The Program Specialist also identifies behavior goals and intervention techniques and recommends non-aversive behavioral change methods. * The Program Specialist will contribute to the service and safety planning, all within the agency and state standards and regulations. * The Program Specialist is responsible for activities described in the Program Description, including clinical leadership of the treatment team, developing and overseeing implementation of the treatment plan, providing support to the host home family, providing individual therapy to the youth, and providing support and guidance to the aftercare family. * Implementation of treatment strategies and training of Therapeutic Family Care (Host Home) parents on these strategies is conducted in collaboration with the Program Coordinator. * Program Specialists are expected to participate in on-call responsibilities, as shared in a rotation with other direct care staff (Program Managers, Coordinators, and Specialists) within the local site office. * The Program Specialist will also assist the Program Supervisor and TFC Director with marketing strategies, recruitment, training, and approval activities of therapeutic families, and record-keeping activities. * This position requires extensive traveling throughout the service area of the program site, as well as occasional travel throughout the Commonwealth.
