JOB SUMMARY: This is a Registration and Account Specialist - Revenue Specialist III position in the General Tax Administration Program, Account Management Process, Rate Unit. The incumbent researches and evaluates tax documents and information that have been submitted for tax purposes; communicates with taxpayers and their representatives as well as service centers and other agency personnel; and resolves account maintenance issues.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.

  • Experience processing DR-1 applications and performing registration functions in Systems for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX)

  • Experience communicating with taxpayers to explain and interpret tax related issues.

  • Experience researching, interpreting and applying Florida tax laws.

  • Hiring salary for this position will generally not exceed $2,683.00 monthly.

  • On occasion, will be required to work mandatory overtime hours during peak periods which may include weekends.

SKILLS VERIFICATION TEST: All candidates who meet the screening criteria/minimum job requirements will be required to take a Skills Verification Test. Candidates must receive a score of at least 70% to be considered further.
