Delivers all aspects of vascular ultrasound testing.
Performs carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial duplex, aortoiliac duplex, penile duplex and renal duplex.
Dictation of preliminary reports for physician.
Consults with vascular medicine physician for interpretation of test results. Maintains records of testing for documentation.
Provide daily account of patient's charge requisition with appropriate ICD9 codes.
Provide training and acts as a resource for vascular ultrasound students, residents and physicians.
Provide testing for add-on emergency patients. Maintains continuing medical education requirements for the appropriate professional organization.
Maintain records and documents for accreditation of vascular lab.
Maintains complete and up-to-date documentation and files, including product and service quotes.
Performs any Other duties as assigned.
Graduation from two year cardiovascular technologist program.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians and other health care workers.
Ability to empathize with patients and families.
Ability to use good judgment in stressful emergency situations.
Adequate mathematics skills to maintain accurate record and report.
