Kendall Regional Medical Center is a 417-bed, full-service, acute hospital providing 24-hour comprehensive care in the community including trauma, burn, surgical, women's and children's services, behavioral health and diagnostic services, along with two full service free-standing ER facilities, one in Doral and the other at The Palms Town & Country.

Job Summary:

Assists surgeon during operative and invasive procedures. Assists with preparing operating suite for procedures.

Helps to monitor PAR level of all surgical instruments and supplies. Cleans and sterilizes surgical instruments as indicated. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications

  • Certified Surgical Technician

  • High School Diploma or equivalent Operating Room Technician Certification/Completion of an approved surgical scrub tech program.

  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and certification.

  • Basic computer knowledge.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • Additional languages preferred.

  • 1 year in acute care setting preferred.
