Respiratory Therapy

Nightshift: 12 hour shifts 7pm-7am

$10,000 STUDENT LOAN REPAYMENTS

As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best - providing quality care to our patients. Requirements:

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) as long as you are RRT eligible and actively pursuing registry.

• Current license by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy (ASBRT)

• At least one year of clinical experience in respiratory care.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) & Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certifications

About the Job:

• Under the direction of Physicians and and Respiratory Director, perform all respiratory procedures in accordance with NBRC, State Regulations, and departmental policies.

• Recommend and implement appropriate respiratory care procedures and protocols based on observed abnormalities.

• Provides respiratory care to patients in acute, chronic, and emergency situations. Manages mechanical ventilation and artificial airways in critical and ghttps://www.chs.net/serving-communities/locations/#USMapeneral care areas.

• Collects and analyzes arterial blood gases as well as administers aerosolized medications and other respiratory treatments.

• Initiates, monitors and manages patient's oxygen through various devices including high flow nasal cannula and non-invasive positive pressure ventilation.

• Document patient care records in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
