Registered Radiologic Technologist - Mammography

Position Summary
Operates equipment and performs various radiographic/fluoroscopic and mammography related procedures. Explains procedures and educates patients about the role of regular mammography in preventive breast health.
Responsibilities
Prepares for and assists radiologists in completion of radiologic/ fluoroscopic examinations and completion of needle localization and stereotactic procedures
Reviews all diagnostic data for completeness and accuracy
Assesses the patient's physical and mental status prior to discharge from the department
Performs a variety of tasks
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology required
Professional credentialing with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology required
Professional credentialing with ARRT in Mammography required within one year of hire
BLS required
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
