Registered Radiation Therapist - Oncology

Position Overview:

As a Registered Radiation Therapist, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to cancer patients. You'll work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver precise radiation treatments, perform simulations, and contribute to treatment planning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver accurate radiation treatments according to oncologist prescriptions
• Conduct patient simulations and provide clinical instruction to radiation therapy students
• Assist in treatment planning, including tumor localization and dosimetry
• Perform daily quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate with physicists, dosimetrists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients on pre- and post-treatment care
• Ensure radiation safety measures and protocols are strictly followed
• Participate in on-call rotations and Brachytherapy procedures as required

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy program
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
• Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Experience with IMRT and 3D conformal radiation therapy preferred
