REGISTERED NURSE-STAFF-WEEKENDS: This position applies the nursing process in providing direct and indirect holistic care to patients and their families.

This position collaborates, in a collegial manner, with physicians and other health care team members in meeting the patient's needs, and may delegate certain aspects of care to those under their direct supervision, within the scope of nursing practice. This position requires weekend hours and may be on-call during the evenings and nights. Thus, the position must be flexible.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION: Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire. BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers) Registered Nurse

EXPERIENCE: 6 months experience in Nursing

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs at various stages of the life cycle.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS: This position works for Hospice of Cincinnati's weekend and after hours team. This position reports to the Blue Ash area and travels to patients in the home care and long term care programs. The Support Team RN requires critical thinking to apply nursing assessment and care interventions to end-of-life patient hospice patients. Requires flexibility. Travels to entire Hospice service area.
