AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country.
Cardiothoracic PCU is a 36-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:3. This unit will care for patients with Cardiac or Thoracic needs, surgical related, and or overflow from any of our Cardiology sister units. You will get to learn side by side with our already established caring specialized trained Cardiology units.
Cardiopulmonary PCU is a 40-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:3. This unit cares for patients with cardiac and pulmonary needs such as pre/post heart catheterizations, pacemaker insertions, ablations, lead revisions, tikosyn and sotalol initiation, rapid atrial fibrillations, etc.
Cardiovascular PCU is a 4-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:3. This unit cares for patients recovering from Cardiovascular and Thoracic surgical procedures which includes, coronary bypass grafting, valve repair and replacement, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Pericardial window, device explanation and laser lead extraction, and all Thoracic surgeries including esophagogastrostomy, lung resection, as well as thoracic and abdominal aneurysm repairs. Cardiac PCU is a 40-bed unit with a patient ratio of 1:3. This unit cares for patients from our Advanced Cardiology Surgical ICU ECMO unit. We care for advanced heart failure therapies and is unique since we work with pre-and post-Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVADs) artificial hearts, and heart transplant recipients. We also care for general cardiac patients often prep patients for bypass and valve repair, plus pacemakers, AICDs, and heart catheterizations.

Full Time - Days or Nights, 3/12-hour shifts, 7-7
15,000 Sign-on Bonus available for eligible candidates (see terms below)

What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education and Experience Preferred:
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current valid State of Florida or multi state license as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced life support certification (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Preferred:
Job Summary:
The Registered Professional Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities to identified age specific groups. Utilizes the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating) in achieving the goals of the nursing department. Adheres to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
