Responsibilities and Qualifications

A Registered Nurse performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patients care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, guiding principles and mercy service standards.

Position Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of a state approved school of nursing

  • Licensure: Current RN licensure with Missouri State Board of Nursing or current RN Missouri temporary work permit.

  • Certifications: BLS or must obtain within 90 days of hire.

Assists the physician in the treatment of the patients and completes related clinical paperwork. Knowledge of the principles and skills needed for practical nursing, care, examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures. Knowledge of medications and their effects, patient education, principles to develop a self-care program, instruments and common safety practices. * Licensure: Current valid state license. * Certifications: Current CPR certification or willing to obtain within 90 days of employment.
