Registered Nurse #Manager of Oncology Clinical Research Department #Schedule:# M-F 8-5# Departmental DescriptionDirects and supervises Clinical Research Associates, Research Nurses, Data managers and IRB Coordinator. Assists the Principal Investigator of Clinical Studies in developing, coordinating, and facilitating the activities of all participants in clinical trials.
Assumes responsibility for the coordination, evaluation and monitoring of patients participating in clinical trials, research protocols, cancer prevention studies and/or high risk screening programs as evidenced by documentation in data collection system. . Provides professional and ancillary staff education to ensure the safe management of care for patients and families. Provides expert knowledge to the multi-disciplinary team, consumers and professional/public organizations as evidenced by compliance with protocol requirements.
Responsibilities Must maintain a current CPR certification from American Heart Association Provides professional nursing care to patients and provides supervision and guidance to the members of the nursing staff. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing Valid Texas RN License/Eligible Compact License BSN Required MSN Preferred Minimum of 2 years of Oncology Research or 2 or more years college and 4 years of oncolgoy research.
