Work Schedule: Full-Time(Nights 7p-7a)Rotating Weekends

Medical City of Ft. Worth is a 320 bed MAGNET facility located in the heart of Fort Worth. It serves as a tertiary referral center not only for Tarrant County, but also numerous counties within a 90 mile radius.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the director/manager or designee. the registered nurse provides holistic, individual ized patient care in response to identified needs of the complex monitored patient. Additional functionswill be performed in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in amanner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training Experience Required

Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing with a minimum of Bachelors of Science in Nursing Required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • RN with current licensure or RN with temporary permit to practice from the Board of Nurse Examiners for the State of Texas.

  • Current BCLS certification

  • Current ACLS certification if working in a critical care area. New graduates (nurse with less than one year RN experience) and/or nurse interns hired into these areas will have 6months to complete the ACLS course.

  • Current specialty preferred

Our Progressive/Intermediate Care Unit (PCU) RNs have a unique job of caring for medical and surgical patients that still require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but are stable enough to no longer need ICU care.
