Conduct frequent patient assessments and provide close observation of patients in accordance with recognized standards of nursing practice and the prescribed medical plan of care.
Performs a wide range of complex nursing tasks for patients of all age groups, ranging from infant to geriatric. Utilizes appropriate interview skills to collect data, identify patient problems, and provide input to the patients plan of care.
Provides diagnostic support duties, to include vital signs, collecting specimens, calling for and recording lab results, and assisting the provider in a variety of examinations and procedures. Interprets findings and reports to the healthcare provider, those findings which indicate a detrimental variation in the progress of the patient.
Applies in-depth knowledge of professional nursing theories, principles, and procedures in planning, providing, administering, overseeing, and documenting professional patient care, in accordance with nursing standards of practice, licensed independent provider (LIP), and established policies and procedures.
Education: Completion of the following:
Experience: Candidates must have the following experience:
-National Background Investigation
Must be a US Citizen
Must have reliable transportation to and from work site
License/Certification and Training:
Current and Unrestricted Registered Nurse license to practice nursing in at least one of the 50 states of the United states, District of Columbia, or territory of Puerto Rico.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
-8-12 hour shifts; varies(e.g. 7:00AM-7:00PM, 7:00PM-7:00AM, 11:00AM-7:00PM, 11:00PM-7:00AM, etc)
-Requires night, weekends and holidays
