Summary:

Evaluates all bed requests using approved criteria, for the level of care orders and bed assignments to ensure patients are expediently assigned rooms and utilize all critical resources within the organization to expedite this process. Responds appropriately to requests made by transferring physicians, hospitals, and peers working together with nursing supervisors, nurse managers, and assistant nurse managers to improve patient flow throughout all nursing units. Ensures high priority to customer service, professional communication, and complete customer satisfaction.

Education specialization:

Essential:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; if attended an approved school of nursing, must have 2 years of acute care hospital experience in the past 3 years.
