Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Qualifications:

• COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:*
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language to effectively communicate with predominantly English-speaking population.

  * EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:*
  • For Registered Nurses with less than five (5) years work experience as an RN, a BSN degree is required or enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months of hire date with BSN degree completed within 4 years of hire date is required.
  • For Registered Nurses with more than 5 years of work experience as an RN in an acute/inpatient capacity, a BSN degree is not required.
  • For current Geisinger Registered Nurses who transfer into this position, BSN degree is preferred.
  • Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license in good standing required.
  • Current BLS healthcare provider.
  • ACLS within one (1) year of date of hire. PRNs must have ACLS at date of hire.
  • Experience preferred; willing to train new graduates. PRN's must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience.

  • In accordance with the standards of care established by the State Board of Nursing, a registered nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. A registered nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.

  WORK SCHEDULE: Nights/Evenings; Every other weekend/holiday rotation
