$30,000 Sign On Bonus - First half paid on first paycheck and second half paid on 1 year anniversary

What We Are Looking For

Lake Granbury Medical Center's Emergency Services Department is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse to work as the Working Nursing Supervisor for our 8 Bed Freestanding Emergency Room.

What You Will Do

The primary purpose of the RN/Nurse Supervisor at our freestanding emergency department ("FSED") is to oversee and coordinate the administrative, nursing and other clinical functions that promotes, advocates for, and strives to protect the health, safety and rights of the individual, family and community. The RN/Nurse Supervisor works closely with the ER Director in establishing goals and implementing procedures and programs for daily operations. The practice of the RN/Supervisor will support the mission, vision and values of Lake Granbury Medical Center.

The RN/Nurse Supervisor will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all operating policies and procedures and for coordinating operations and clinical staff for the FSED. The RN/Nurse Supervisor will report to the Director of Emergency Services and will be supported by LGMC management.

Essential Functions

• Ensure freestanding emergency department operations are conducted efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.

• Work closely with the accounting department to analyze revenue cycle data of the freestanding FSED facility and make adjustments as necessary to meet strategic and financial goals.

• Ensure staff is fully trained and/or certified and facility inspections are current.

• Work closely with the Director and Medical Director to facilitate a collaborative, customer service oriented, and professional emergency department atmosphere.

• Oversee the nursing, radiology/laboratory and front office operations in collaboration with medical director, FSED supervisor will support teams to ensure facility performance standards.

• Monitor patient service feedback and contribute to the process of resolving any service issues in collaboration with facility staff and management support.

• Assist with preparation monthly work schedules and submit to payroll department.

• Assist with orientation and on-boarding of freestanding emergency department staff.

• Train new staff on how to use the equipment, follow policy and procedures, know their responsibilities and become familiar with the work environment.

• Able to triage and care for all patients coming into emergency department.

• Assists physicians during examinations and procedures.

• Determines care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system.

• Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse.

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree in Nursing

Certified as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas or Compact Licensure

5 years of ER experience

BLS and ACLS upon hire

PALS or ENPC

TNCC within 6 months of hire date

Working Hours:

7A- 7P (2) 12 hour shifts
