JOB SUMMARY The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team who is responsible for the delivery of direct and indirect patient care throughout the nursing process in all assigned areas. The RN will be required to assess patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, lab work, x-rays, and other diagnostic tests.# They will be involved in the planning and implementation of a written care plan under the direction of a Physician.

Summary: On 4 West, Graduate Nurses will work with#patients with medical or surgical diagnoses admitted as inpatients, outpatients, or observation patients. The age of patients is predominantly adult, but older pediatric patients may be admitted based on care needs in consultation with the pediatric staff. The predominant patient populations include cardiovascular disorders, respiratory disorders, diabetes and other endocrine disorders, neurological disorders, renal disorders, vascular disorders, and infectious diseases. The cardiology patient population includes patients requiring telemetry monitoring.# Qualifications: Associate Degree Science (ADN/ASN), Baccalaureate in Nursing or higher nursing degree within ten-years. Current New Hampshire temporary Registered Nurse licensure. This status is maintained from date of hire until the issuance of a permanent license by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing. If the temporary license becomes inactive, due to failure of the NCLEX examination, the employee will no longer be eligible to remain in the Graduate Nurse position.
