Position Summary
As an RN, you will perform direct patient care for developmentally disabled residents. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, administering and evaluating individual care for residents.
Salary Information
These positions are classified as Nurse Clinician 2's. Starting salary is between $40.90 and $47.21 per hour. Additional increases are based on years of licensure in the chart below.

Job Details
All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.
All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by SWC or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.
DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.
Qualifications
Minimally qualified candidates will possess:
Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Wisconsin. Must be licensed at time of appointment.
Knowledge of current general nursing theory, nursing process and nursing standards.
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime or extra hours.
Eligibility is defined as you currently hold a license in another state and are eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Wisconsin OR you are within 3 months of graduation from a professional nurse education program.
Well-qualified candidates will also have one or more of the following:
Experience participating as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral and written methods.
Experience providing effective direction and overseeing the work of other members of the nursing team.
Experience applying nursing techniques to meet the needs of the specific patient population at SWC.
