Registered Nurse-Special Procedures
The RN Special Procedures is responsible for performing the initial assessment appropriate to the patients' clinical presentation type of equipment. Identifies and prioritizes the need for further assessment based on the patient's clinical presentation/diagnosis and tolerance of diagnostic testing/scheduled procedure.
Pre-screens patient lab work, mobility, allergies, and medication history prior to invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure. Evaluates and documents the patient's response to the invasive diagnostic testing/ procedure.
Use of current equipment
Ability to communicate effectively and to foster teamwork among fellow staff members
Ability to exhibit excellent written and verbal skills
Attention to detail, high level of accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and function effectively under high volumes of patients
Ability to exercise independent judgment on a regular basis
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Knowledge of all interventional radiology procedures
Five years critical care experience procedure experience preferred
Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program. BSN preferred
Current California RN license (maintain current)
BLS (maintain current AHA)
ACLS (maintain current AHA
