Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is seeking a Full-Time, night shift RN Unit Supervisor on the Psychiatry Unit.Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is a 237-bed hospital offering patients convenience and state-of-the-art care in a community environment. The new 20-bed unit is designed with the specific needs of this specialized population in mind. Additionally, the current behavioral health unit is upgraded and modernized.*

Those relocating from more than 50 miles away will also receive relocation assistance. * This position is eligible for a Sign On and Relocation bonus for qualified candidates.The Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor serves as a front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit. Embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision making structures and processes. Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility. Serves as an engaged team member who is empowered to support Inova's "People Priority" by providing genuine acts of care, appreciation, recognition, coaching, mentoring and encouragement to all members of the healthcare team, in order to further enculturate Inova's care delivery model and results for all of Inova's strategic priorities.Requirements: * Certification- Basic Life Support; Specialty certification (as required by unit) within 12 months of hire; Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within 3 months of hire * Licensure- Licensed Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia * Experience- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse * Education- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or Associate's Degree RN within 1 year of completing their BSN)
