We are one of the largest facilities in the HCA system, and we provide the full scope of healthcare services. With 466 beds, we specialize in heart care at the Levinson Heart Hospital and emotional and mental health services through the Tucker Pavilion. Our ER is also a state-authorized Level II trauma center and we offer Central Virginia's only Pediatric ER staffed 24/7 by pediatric-trained ER nurse and physician specialists.
You will work with our pediatricians and other pediatric specialists to care for thousands of children each year. As a nurse with the only pediatric hospital unit in South Richmond, you will provide care in our comfortable, brightly decorated and spacious 24-bed pediatric unit, specifically designed for children of all ages. For children needing a higher-level of monitoring and care, we have an 8-bed pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
You will care for our patients who have come to us with a variety of acute and chronic conditions and disabilities, ranging from diabetes, asthma, spinal corrections, orthopedic procedures, concussions and fractures, general pediatric surgery needs, croup, respiratory distress, pneumonia and so much more.
Pediatric care is truly special at Chippenham Hospital.
