RESPONSIBLE FOR:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

New Graduates of a nursing program eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.

BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred

Bachelor's degree preferred

Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Guiding development of the overall oncology leadership structure, quality initiatives and outcomes and creating goals and plans for growth for the service line. Planning, implementing, directing, monitoring and promoting all current and new cancer programs and services. Formulating budgets and ensuring appropriate profitability and/or revenue maximization for the oncology service line; developing and implementing appropriate marketing and promotional tools to communicate the core messages of the cancer program; managing all human resources in cost-effective and supportive manner; and, managing data capture and analysis, and developing and monitoring oncology outcome data, e.g. service, cost, clinical outcomes. Overseeing plans to achieve and maintain Network Accreditation through the American College of Surgeons (ACS), ACR, etc. Development of a network-wide structure and system to track and manage oncology related business activities: patient centric programs such as patient navigation for upstream and downstream capture and management; physician manpower, positioning, and program alliances; financial management and monitoring of product line using key metrics to track success. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensures that administrative and operational processes occur daily and on an ongoing basis. 2. Provides human resources management. 3. Provides operational direction. 4. Provides strategic direction. 5. Markets services and programs to enhance utilization and awareness. 6. Measures quality and outcomes to ensure the provision of quality patient care services. 7. Enhances customer satisfaction. 8. Communicates with others. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Masters degree in healthcare or business administration from a recognized college or university. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5 years of management experience ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of the health care industry and Visionary leader who identifies opportunities for improved customer value.
