HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is a 490-bed acute care facility offering inpatient and outpatient medical, surgical and specialty services. The campus includes Level II trauma capabilities, a Neuroscience Institute, The Heart & Vascular Hospital, a bariatrics program, the Breast Diagnostic Center, a wound care center, a level III Neonatal ICU, and the area's only pediatric emergency department and pediatric ICU.

Registered Nurse (RN) PRN Emergency Room (ER)

What you will do in this role:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patient

  • Meeting the Standards of Practice for the Emergency Department (ED) and managing all assigned personnel, supplies and equipment

  • Participate in activities to plan, measure, assess and improve the quality of patient care

  • Routinely provides triage assessment for patients presenting for treatment

  • Routinely performs venipunctures for obtaining specimens for lab tests

  • Routinely provides intervention in emergency, life-threatening situations

  • Assumes the responsibility of charging the department, as needed

Qualifications:

  • ADN required; BSN enrolled

  • 1 year Emergency (ED) experience

  • Current Texas State RN license or compact license

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by the American Heart Association required

  • EKG certification or successful challenge of EKG exam

  • ACLS and PALS certification within 6 months of hire

  • TNCC certification required within 18 months of hire

  • CEN certification encouraged

  • NIHSS certification within 6 months of hire, unless currently certified then needs to be maintained.

  • Two acute stroke educational activities attended annually

Responsibilities Travel to clinics within a market as determined by the medical regional to fill medical professional gaps and optimize the schedule in clinics. Performs treatments in accordance with established treatment protocols, scope of practice, organizational policies and procedures, and all other governing standards. Essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:• Administers treatments in accordance with Ideal Image policies and procedures.• Establish and maintain rapport with clients in order to ensure overall customer service satisfaction of clients.• Evaluate client's suitability for all available services/treatments and perform treatments that same day.• Pursue opportunities to educate clients on additional services.• Educate clients on all treatment processes including pre and post-treatment care guidelines.• Maintain cleanliness and appearance of treatment rooms between each client.• Annotate and post appropriate information and maintain accurate client treatment records/data in the client's medical chart.• Sustain proficiency through continuous education and trainings.• Collaborate with sales and operations teams to achieve company goals.• Travel between clinics, as necessary.• Local travel throughout a market is required; national as needed.• All other duties as assigned. Qualifications * Active Registered Nurse license in the state for which the job exists, must be in good standing * Relevant industry experience * Proficient with personal computers and contemporary software applications (MS Office Suite, Salesforce etc.). * Ability to complete detailed paperwork.• Exceptional teamwork skills.• Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times.• Ability to meet U.S. employment and eligibility requirements.
