Typical responsibilities include:

Evaluating and caring for patients from admission to dischargeCarrying out physician's orders, completing clinical assessments, initiating and updating treatment plansProviding group and individual therapy/education to patientsProviding treatment and interventions that may require restraints or seclusionEducating family members regarding medication administration and side effects, patient disorder characteristics, disease prevention and basic coping skills

WORK EXPERIENCE, CREDENTIALS AND EDUCATION

One year of clinical nursing experience preferably in geriatrics and/or mental healthGraduate from an accredited school of nursing with a registered nursing degreeCurrent state registered nursing (RN) license

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end workMust be willing and able to work flexible hoursJob will require frequent lifting of objects up to 50 pounds
