This role will provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. Must be able to collaborate with other health care delivery team members, including physicians, to deliver quality health care. This is a full-time role with call. The Surgery Center consists of 3 operating rooms (two large, orthopedic rooms), 2 minor operating rooms, and a cystoscopy room. The primary goal of the operating room is to provide individualized patient care delivered by highly trained, specialized staff during the actual surgery. Each operating room has a minimum of a registered nurse, scrub technician, and an anesthesiologist. Staffing is adjusted to meet patient needs and the needs of the surgeon. The Operating Room uses an on-call system to ensure the availability of staff 24 hours a day. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: * State of Florida RN License required * BLS within 90 days of hire required * ACLS within 90 days of hire required * CNOR Preferred. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED: * Minimum 1 year previous acute care or perioperative experience or completion of Perioperative Nursing course preferred.
