Registered Nurse (Rn) Operating Room

Job Summary: Primarily responsible for applying the nursing process to the care of veteran patients undergoing surgical procedures in the operating room.

• This includes, but is not limited to, assuring that appropriate documentation reflects assessment of patient needs, interdisciplinary treatment plans, clinical intervention, and evaluation of patients' responses to treatments.

• Also responsible for assigning and evaluating the work of non-nursing direct care providers assigned to the operating room. Required Skills & Experience: -operating room ambulatory surgery

• Float - only if needed perioperative services

• Minimum qualifications required for services: -Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.

• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.

• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Required Education:

• ASN. Preferred Education: -BSN. Required Certifications & Licensure: -BLS - AHA.

• NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license.

• NIHSS. Preferred Certifications & Licensure:

• ACLS-AHA.
