Position Summary:
Assist surgeons and Anesthesiologists with complex or potentially life-threatening procedures such as insertion of invasive lines, chest tubes, tracheotomies, pre-op and post-op care in an operating room setting.

Hours:
This is a 24/7 facility, therefore hours of performance may vary. RNs are required to work a minimum of four 12-hour shifts per month; other shifts may vary and may include 8, 10, or 12 hours, Sunday through Saturday and may include weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
Pre-operative, intraoperative, and post-operative care including post-cesarean section patients under general anesthesia
Administer and support infusion therapy services
Lead EKG placement and monitoring
Intravenous access devices (ports and catheters) as well as Broviac/Hickman catheters and 60 Peripheral Inserted Central Catheter (PICC) lines.
Orthostatic (tilt) vital signs
Wound cleaning/Dressing changes
Phlebotomy
Medication administration per licensure and certification - administer, titrate, and assess - including reversal agents.
Set up, operate, and monitor medical equipment and operating room.
Access Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
Patient History/Medication reconciliation/Physical assessments/Assess vital signs/Comprehensive behavioral health nursing assessments/Obtain measurements and completes appropriate health screenings
Requirements
Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's in Nursing Accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE)
Must have the following hands-on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross: Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Shall have a minimum of one (1)-year experience within the last three (3)-years, which includes the care of adults and newborns in a operating room or high level procedure facility.
Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice Registered Nurse in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.
Shall be a U.S. citizen
This job is CONTINGENT upon contract award, client approval, completion of a favorable background investigation, and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust / High Risk clearance.
