The Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU team at our Level II Trauma Center in Boise, Idaho, is looking for a new member to join the team This position will be located at our Regional Medical Center off I-184 and Curtis Rd. As a nurse in the Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU, you will work in the only unit of its kind in Idaho. This unique setting will allow you to gain experience and expertise that will set you apart from others in the field. This one-of-a-kind unit offers experiences you won’t find anywhere else.

This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a high-stakes environment and get a thrill from using the latest technology and equipment. A day in the life of an IC U RN can look like : Utilizing your skills in a Level II Trauma Center and a Level I Comprehensive Stroke Center Obtaining experience working in the FIRST and ONLY Neuro Surgical Trauma Unit in Idaho Working with the only board certified, fellowship- trained neuro critical care doctors in the state Caring for patients with neurological, surgical, or traumatic injury/illness that require intensive level care. This can range from a patient suffering from a multi trauma after a car accident, a spinal cord injury patient after a skiing injury, a patient with a spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage, a patient with new onset, undiagnosed seizures, or a patient with a stroke.

Be ing part of a unit that consists of 18 critical care beds Providing next level care for patients in a state-of-the-art unit with the newest and most advanced technology and equipment Collaborating closely with a team of skilled nurses to deliver care to our patients, ensuring a supportive and compassionate environment Implementing evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure patient safety and comfort at all times Participating in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize patient outcomes and continuity of care Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress Educating patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and recovery processes, offering emotional support Assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs, conditions, and responses to treatments Want an inside look of the unit? You currently hold an Idaho or multistate RN license If you have a multistate license you would need to establish residency with the Idaho Board of Nursing within 6 months of hire You have your Basic Life Support You are willing to obtain your Advance Cardiovascular Life Support for HealthCare Provider (ACLS) certification within 6 months of hire and your Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 12 months of hire Why Saint Alphonsus Health System?
