Join Scripps Encinitas Surgery Team as a Lead RN in Pre-surgical evaluation where you will be amongst people who are dedicated to creating an environment that is focused on restoring function and optimizing care, while maintaining the respect, autonomy and individuality of every patient. You will provide care within the scope of the RN practice and work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. You will work in Centralized Scheduling to help with accuracy of case scheduling. Duties include performing audits and chart review to improve quality and safe patient care for surgical patients.

This is a full time day shift (M-F).

Required Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of acute care RN experience.

  • Current CA RN License

  • Current BLS through American Heart Association

  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.

  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN
  • Endoscopy experience

We invite you to join our highly engaged team of healthcare professionals. Our registered nurses provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care. This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period) position with a 12-hour night shift rotating schedule. This position will rotate work caring for L&D, Antepartum, Postpartum, and newborn patients. This position is located at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. Required Experience/Specialized Skills: * At least 1-year recent experience within a Post-Partum and Labor and Delivery department in an Acute Care hospital environment. * Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors. Required Certification/Registration: * Current CA RN License * Current BLS from the American Heart Association * NRP Certification * Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification (AWHONN, K2, or NCC).
