We have an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) to fill a full-time, IVF-Nursing position. This is an exciting and challenging position with a practice that continues to grow.
Counsel patients on initial visit regarding ovulation induction and infertility treatment.
Perform routine in-office examinations and procedures as necessary.
Coordinate ovulation induction cycles for patients as directed by practice physicians.
Coordinate and implement patient teaching for ovulation induction.
Maintain ovulation induction cycle log and ovulation induction treatment cardex.
Perform routine patient assessment as necessary (i.e., height weight, vital signs).
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Review patient's chart to identify potential medical problems which require evaluation prior to proceeding with ovulation induction treatment.
Perform phlebotomy, cultures and intrauterine inseminations.
Participates in daily meeting for review of patient results and instructions.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and calling for assistance from other health care support personnel when appropriate.
Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Operates specialty equipment per manufacturer's recommendations and/or policy and procedure.
Teaching medication instruction.
Patient counseling and anticipatory guidance.
Communication of physician orders and instructions.
Communication of lab results with appropriate interpretation and explanation.
Phone triage of patient calls.
Post treatment cycle follow up.
The ideal candidate must have a current state license without limitations. An RN (two-year degree program) is required; BSN a plus. Current ACLS, BLS certification. Experience in women's health; OB/GYN a plus. Candidates must also possess strong patient service, team orientation, excellent interpersonal communication skills, the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, and the ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations.
